About Me

I'm a bicycle rider. More to the truth I train on the bike to stay fit as I get older. I train to fight off the age. Diebedes, high blood pressure, trigeminal neuralgia, unwanted weight and the problems from that to. There is a host of other age related fun to. I let myself put on 110 pounds over about the last 12 years. Then the body just had enough. I was falling apart. So I started doing the only thing I knew how to do. Train on the bike. I was a competitive Cyclist from 1979 to about 1992. I gave it all up. Bad choice. In the end I would have been far better off on the bike. Oh well. The lessons continue. That's really the truth of it. The lessons continue. Everyday, every moment. Everything is connected all the time. Well, that's how I see the Universe for me. How you see it, is your business. Ah freedom of thought. I got married to a wonderful woman March 21st 2007. The love of my life. It's true! It took all these 58 years to get ready to love this one beautiful woman. A writer of poems. A writer of pros. So many people know her already.

The gate

I start without a thought of what I am starting. A clean sheet. No expectations. No reasons. Just to put down a few lines. To say what comes out. To sign on to the idea of open communication. Maybe less than that to. Working my way through the new hoops of the blog. Hoops that need to be embraced. So the starters gun has sounded and the rolling path of this digital highway is now open to my few ideas and adventures.
I put a few photos in to get going. One is at my resent wedding to Mary Anne. In my Gordon kilt. I love that kilt. More fun to wear that kilt than I would have thought. I'll add a photo of Mary Anne.
The other photo is a shot of the Santiam Pass in November 2006. Last ride in the mountians for that season. The passes had 3 feet of snow 3 days later. It was the Sisters to Sisters Oregon ride. 89 miles and about 8800 feet of climbing in the driving rain for 6 hours. It was an epic ride. One I will never forget. Up the Santiam Pass and the Old MacKenzie Pass. It was just wonderful.
Back to my new wife. Mary Anne Radmacher is a writer and has a new book out"Lean Forward into Your Life". It's a life changing book. Worth the effort.
So today is start day. I plan to enter new posts as often as I can. New photos. New ideas. New people and events.
Best wishes

Great start David. May I be your first commenter? Now all you have to do is write. It's easy and it's hard. Rock on!
